CHRISTmas is near, and I am enjoying the season. Are you looking for the perfect gift for someone special? Take a look at the towels or shawls or runners on the following pages. I even have some more that aren't even pictured yet. But they need to be ordered in the next couple days to receive them in time for Christmas. Give me a call at 218-244-6353 to see if your perfect gift is still available. You can also email, of course, but our internet isn't as reliable as I would like it to be. Enjoy browsing, and may you have joy this Christmas.

Just finished the Shepherd's Harvest show this past weekend, and what started out pretty bad (truck wheel bearings went out) ended up pretty good. It was cold and windy Sat. and cool and breezy Sunday, but lots of great people there.
I do have a lot of new products--I'll update some tonight and others in the next few weeks (when I get pictures of them), so keep an eye out and check -- especially shawls. Look for V1, V3, T16 and T18 for a lovely variety of shawls for all seasons.
December 1, 2015
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of family here for three days. It made me so grateful for family that enjoys each other and getting together.
I have updated the products now, so you should be able to see what I actually have available. Some of the beautiful new shawls are in purples or reds or red/black or fire or even the darker northern lights shades of the T12 shawls. Lots of towels are available, and I will be making more this month, so keep a look out for what you want. You can always let me know what colors you might like, as well. Towels and shawls also can make great gifts for special people in your lives.
Keep an eye out for an announcement later this month. I hope you will be able to enjoy the Christmas season and take time to appreciate the meaning of Christmas.

Next week I'll be at Ruttger's Oktoberfest, which is another delightful show. See details on the show schedule page. Hope to see some of you there. If you come, tell me you saw this on the website for a 10% discount.

Getting excited for the Hostfest, which starts on Wednesday. After the show, I'll be able to post pics and descriptions of the many new towels and shawls that I've made over the summer. Check things out the second week of October. I've been looking at the beginning of beautiful color in the trees. Can't wait to enjoy the next few weeks of fall--one of my four favorite times of the year.
June 23, 2015
At last the new towels have been added to the site. Check out T3 for the lake blue towels and T5 for the spring fiesta towels - or Minnesota spring towels. Many have been sold already, but there are some really pretty ones left.
April 9, 2015
I have started doing just a bit of weaving again, starting with some new towels in colors that remind you of a beautiful lake, and then some spring fiesta ones (for the show I was hoping to do in March). They are all colorful, fun and great to use. I'll finish up the fiesta ones and post them all when I get them back from my hemmer.
March 17, 2015
I have had to cancel the March show at Roseville. If you need anything, please email or call me, and I'll arrange to get it to you or plan to come to the Shepherd's Harvest in May. Not weaving too much right now with family circumstances changing, but will start again when possible.
February 20, 2015
I have at least three shows coming up so far; two this spring by the cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul, that is), and Hostfest in Minot, ND, first week of October. Check out the Show Schedule page for details. I expect to add a couple more fall shows as it becomes time to apply and get accepted for each one.
Check in the coming weeks for some new shawls--just need to get some time with the photographer, and I'll show you what's available.
My shows are over for the season, so all inventory is now on sale for 20% off until Dec. 31. Give me a call or email me to make sure your item is in stock, and I'll get it sent off within 2-3 business days (usually, I just mail on Tuesdays). If you want to pay by credit card I will invoice you by email and you can pay SQUARE directly instead of having to give me all your information. As usual, you may also pay by check if that is more convenient for you. Have a blessed Christmas!!

I've put a couple more sets of towels on the site, even though I just have a few of them left. Check S15 for some lovely brown shades, and S16 for lilac, grapey colors.
The seasonal tree runners are S18. Take a look at them to plan for north woods or Christmas decorating. I plan to add a few new runners, as well, on Monday or Tuesday. One set is bright pinks and purples, and the other a very subtle line of gray, gray-green and some with black. The pinks are 100% cotton and the grays are linen and silk. Both are worth checking out, as they are quite different than most of my runners.
The only show left this year is a small one at the Sandstone Golf Course next weekend. If you are anywhere in the area, please stop by and say hi.
October 12, 2014
The hostfest at Minot was a great and fun show. I've been working at removing the sold items from the site and plan to get that done tonight. Two more shows to look forward to are 60 Artists on 50th St. in Minneapolis and Love Gifts in Grand Rapids--see the Show Schedule for more details.
After last weeks show, I have very few long shawls available, but there are still a few plus several medium and shorter shawls. I'll be working on those next month. This month I will be making some of the popular tree runners -- they work so well for Christmas, as well as for North Woods type decorating.
Enjoy this beautiful, colorful month (here in Minnesota)!
September 10, 2014
Towel time is here. Several of the new sets are now on the site. Check out the S11, S12, S13 and S14 towels for great gifts of beautiful, thirsty towels in great Scandinavian patterns. A few more will be coming in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out if you are interested.
August 13. 2014
Check out the new shawls I just added. S2 somehow ends up at the bottom of the shawls page, but it has some lovely new silk/wool shawls. S5 added some new sizes to the red/black beauties; S7 for purple lovers, and S8 for people with fire! As always, they have been washed and are ready for you to wear or give to that someone special.
July 29, 2014
We were finally able to photograph some of the new products yesterday, so I'll be adding them today and tomorrow. Today I put on some new runners in aqua, turquoise, and willow green--some different colors for those of you who need a change. You'll find these "...through a glass darkly" runners in S6. Obviously the name is appropriate for those that have the crosses on them, but the non-cross runners are just as lovely. Check them out at S6.
Also, I will NOT be at the Bigfork show on Friday. If you need something, give me a call (218-244-6353) and I'll send it out. I've been working like crazy on towels, especially for the Hostfest in early October. They still need to be hemmed and washed, so will be a while before they are on. Only have 3 left of the fancy twill towels.
Over the next few days I'll be putting on several new scarves and shawls, though many of them are repeats of former products because they are so beautiful and usable.
April 30, 2014
We actually did get the towels on the site today. Take a look at R8 (or S1 if you like pink) in the towel gallery. Thanks to my photographer Ted (T. Sheppard Photography), who shot the photos and quickly got them edited this morning in spite of all the other things he had to do.
By next week I hope to have a few bamboo and alpaca/silk scarves on in the same fancy twill pattern as the towels. They really look pretty, but I still need to twist the fringe and get them washed and ready for you.
My friend gave me a quote that really encouraged me lately. "The Master Weaver knows what looms ahead." So glad He is in charge of life and I'm not. God bless you all.
A few new items going on the site tomorrow. Some more of the wool and wool/mohair scarves will be added to the R9 scarves. I've been working with some wool because of the Shepherd's Harvest Festival the third weekend in May. That seems like a fun event, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it for my first time. Come and join me at the Washington County fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday, the 17th and 18th. Details are on my show schedule page.
I have some lovely wool/silk shawls in a great dark teal that are great for almost any season. There is also a cozy ruana in these colors. They are under the Midnight at Sea Shawls or Ruana; both are numbered S2.
Also the red splendor shawls are back! These great shawls have a red/black tencel warp and are woven with either red or black weft; some are tencel and some are alpaca silk. I just have a few of them now, but will have a few more in the next few weeks. (I'm sure you've noticed I always underestimate the time it will take to get them on the website, but I'll keep trying.)
We are also taking pictures of the rest of the twill towels tomorrow, so hope to have them on soon. Maybe I can get them on before May. This lovely, cold rainy week should be perfect for weaving and for spending time at the computer, so there is a good chance it will happen. Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers and those who are a big part of children's lives, whether their mother or not.
Wow, what a busy winter with all kinds of snow and cold and lots of great trips to southwest MN to enjoy new twin grandbabies. In spite of all that, I do have a few new things, and pictures will be up tomorrow night.
If you like bright colors, I have some new red runners in the pretty Atwater Bronson Lace pattern. You can find them under S3 in the runner section.
So far only a couple of new towels in pinks to show, but in a week or two there will be lots of colors available. These towels are in the same fancy twill pattern I used a few years ago, so if you liked that one, here's your chance for more. The pink towels are in S1 and the other colors will be in R8.
I've only got one new shawl in the subtle color combination and the fancy twill pattern. It's a cotton/poly and tencel shawl that has a lovely combination of shiny and flat yarns. This shawl is S1C.
Yes, it is late in the season, but next winter will be here all too soon, and you might need a warm, wooly scarf again. I have some new ones in R9, and will have a few more of these soon. I have a very colorful mohair loop scarf in R7, but even as spring comes, the other scarves in this set are all cotton, so more comfortable in the warmer seasons. These have a mauve background and some pretty variegated yarns for warp. If you are looking for really lightweight scarves, some red/black tencel scarves are in R1.
This gives you a few new things to look at, and hopefully next month I'll have more, including more blankets and some bamboo and silk light-hued scarves. Enjoy this spring.
