Handweaving Products

November 2

Just to let you know, new pictures are on hold for a while as we deal with some cancer surgery and radiation for my husband (and my photographer).  Shows are also cancelled until further notice.  But anything listed can still be ordered; just give me a call and I'll let you know if it's available and when I will send it.

The beautiful fall colors and cooloer temperatures are reminding me of the coziness of a nice, warm shawl.  I have a few new ones in black/gray and in turquoise/aqua/green, as well as some scarves in blues that will go well with anything from blue jeans to your fanciest winter coat.  A couple new runners in black and white, and several of the popular Christmas tree runners will also be featured.  Check back after October 30, and they should all pictured.  (This will be later, due to cancer treatment).  Meanwhile, enjoy the beautiful fall days and check out your favorite items that might already be here.

The cold weather is coming, making it a perfect time to cozy up in a warm alpaca or silk shawl by the fire.  For those of you in a warmer climate, a cooler bamboo shawl might be a better choice.  I have some shawls in both types for your wearing pleasure.  I just have two left in the brown autumn shades, which you can find under shawls in the V13 section.  20170115-shawls weaving-6620170115-shawls weaving-0320160531-shawls-030

Both of these will be warm and cozy.  The V10 shawls are the darker shades of navy, purple, spruce, burgundy and eggplant--beautiful shawls in a variety of sizes and fibers, including the warm luxury of alpaca and silk and the cooler bamboo for stunning style.  With Christmas coming, you might be thinking about the beauty of reds.  The V11 lacey shawls combine various shades of red in different fibers with the base of red tencel warp.  These are just a lovely way to feel great for the holiday or any time.  All these shawls are great gifts for yourself or a friend because they are not only lovely, but have all been washed and are easy to care for at home.

Calling is the best way to order, and it can usually be out in a day or two, sent by priority mail.  218-244-6353 will speed your gift on its way.

Other shawls have been updated now, and I hope you'll take a look at them.  They will mostly be near the top of the shawl page, but I also added a lot more fire shawls that will be in T14.  You can find a nice variety of shawls in the hues of Minnesota lakes with the V9 group and even more lacey shawls in natural tencel with bamboo or silk in V6.

The hand on these is magnificent--soft and silky--and many shimmer in the light, making them look different as you change angles.  As always, I have washed each one after weaving, so they are washable, usable and just add beauty to your ensemble.

I sell at shows, over the internet and through phone orders. The best way to find out if a product is still available is to call or email me.

Weaving Products

Ruanas

Ruanas

I like ruanas because they are so easy to wear. Ruanas are common in South America, but are more seldom seen here. The cotton, silk, alpaca or wool ruanas are soft and washable and can be either casual or elegant.
Shawls

Shawls

Shawls are some of my favorites because they are fun to weave and so versatile to wear. As with my other products, these shawls are mostly woven of natural fibers like cotton, silk, wool and alpaca.
Scarves

Scarves

Sometimes a shawl might be just too much, but a scarf can be just the right accent. I have woven scarves for warmth, style and comfort. The wide variety of sizes, weights, fibers and patterns make something just right for almost anyone.
Baby Blankets & Afghans

Baby Blankets & Afghans

The little ones like them so much, they will use them for years. And moms like them so much because they can be washed over and over and over again.
Runners & Mats

Runners & Mats

Runners come in a variety of patterns, colors and sizes to satisfy a variety of tastes and needs. Runners are either fringed or hemmed, and are lovely on tables, cedar chests, dressers and buffets.
Towels

Towels

My towels are cotton or linen. They are soft, absorbent and last for years with daily use. These towels make great shower or wedding gifts, but you may find you like them too well to give away!
